Bangladeshian born Tariq Salahuddin came to Ireland in 1982 after living in both Germany and Birmingham where he specialised in engineering and learnt vital work ethics.
After an offer he couldn't refuse in Belfast, Tariq soon ditched ideas for a move to the USA and discovered a passion for the restaurant industry, where he started making plans to create something different in the city that hadn't been experienced before.
Tariq opened Bithika in 1984 on the prestigious Lisburn Road which received excellent reviews with fantastic quality of food. After almost ten prosperous years at Bithika, the Jharna was opened in 1992 to a roaring reception of reviews and Indian cuisine.
Private dining is available at all Indie Spice restaurants whether it is for a corporate or private function.
We offer facilities for business lunches, corporate dinner parties and office events, all in a comfortable and friendly setting.
